Denise is an award winning Bucks County oil painter who comes from four generations of artists. She is a landscape and genre painter working both in plein aire and studio painting. Paul Cézanne said, “ Painting from nature is not copying the object; it is realizing one’s sensations.” Denise finds that when painting in nature you interpret the reality around you.  While painting a scene, one must constantly adjust to changes caused by the variations in light and wind and glean from the surroundings the elements that capture the experience. "Through plein air painting I find that a personal, meditative experience is created when responding directly to the natural environment. It is my hope that a remnant of that experience can be found in my paintings."
