I spent 15 happy years as an elementary art teacher. I am primarily self-taught in oils. My style and skill set are still evolving. I do love the indirect method of painting and chiaroscuro, capturing the interplay of strong light and deep shadows.  My paintings are inspired by vintage items, nature, and the shore, all things I love. I often try to suggest a narrative in my still life’s.  I hope my art makes you smile.
